One thing I love about being a “seasoned woman” with experience and a little knowledge under my belt is that I now know I am in control of my own happiness. Life can be overwhelming and stressful, but it is up to me to remember to take a deep breath and focus on the positive. I can’t depend on my spouse, my children, my sisters, friends or nobody else on my own happiness. I have to manage my stress and incorporate stress relieve techniques to make it through all the hard bumps. Each day we wake up we get a brand new chance to make the life that we want to achieve.
It is the small things in life that makes life so sweet. How you start and end each day can make or break your day. Start your day with positive thoughts on your mind. A prayer can change your attitude. Read an uplifting scripture each morning. Repeat a motivating affirmation to get your mind straight. Don’t forget some Yoga stretches. Make your favorite herbal tea or healthy smoothie with the best multivitamins, flax seed and other health supplements to give you the energy you need to face the day.
When your day has come to an end and it is time to unwind, create your own special ritual to end the day on a positive note. Burn some of your favorite essential oils or fragrance candle. Soothing scents can make all the difference. Do you enjoy massage? Self massages can hit the spot between visits to your massage therapist. Make a special blend of oils and rub your own shoulders. Give yourself a nice foot rub or head massage. End your day with a smile, get some good rest and be ready to face the next day full force.
Here is one oil blend you can try:
1 Tablespoon of Sweet almond
Oregano – 3 drops
Peppermint – 4 drops
Cedarwood – 2 drops
Lavendar – 2 drops
Add essential oils to the 1 tablespoon of Almond oil and shake well.
